Dear RSVP Directors, Project Sponsors, and Supporters

We need your support and count on your membership to provide strength, power and a unified voice for RSVP. Since NARSVPD first incorporated in 1979, our membership has averaged around 500 RSVP Project Directors each year. Why have so many RSVP Directors been loyal? Because NARSVPD is the only organization that is truly committed to what we do. Yes, we are members of the larger community and volunteer service network, but with 758 RSVP programs and nearly 500,000 volunteers…we are the largest program within the Corporation for National and Community Service.

As we get ready to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are working to move RSVP in new directions. With the help of our Washington Representative we’ve presented Congress with the option of funding a new Falls Prevention Program. We have a contract with CNCS to implement and support a national peer mentoring program for new project directors. And we’ve demonstrated that RSVP is the most comprehensive network of volunteer programming in terms of recruiting and placing the boomer cohort.

Your membership in NARSVPD will provide you with:      Invoice Link

  • A strong voice for RSVP

  • A Washington Representative that knows RSVP, is widely respected for his experience and knowledge of CNCS, and is a presence on the Hill.

  • A Board of Directors that contribute their service to benefit RSVP.

  • Collaborations and Partnerships with other organizations, including Voices for National Service.

Enclosed please find your invoice for membership in the National Association of RSVP Directors (NARSVPD) for fiscal year 2008-09.

You must be a member of NARSVPD, Inc. to run for office or serve on the board, vote in elections and at the annual meeting, and to receive printed and electronic newsletters, legislative updates and news from our Washington Representative. Consider your membership in NARSVPD, Inc. as an investment in RSVP. Your dues are vital to insure that the work is being done to protect and enhance your program. Working together we can accomplish great things for RSVP, now and in the future.                 Invoice Link
