We need your
support and count on your membership to provide strength, power and
a unified voice for RSVP. Since NARSVPD first incorporated in
1979, our membership has averaged around 500 RSVP Project Directors
each year. Why have so many RSVP Directors been loyal? Because
NARSVPD is the only organization that is truly committed to what we
do. Yes, we are members of the larger community and volunteer
service network, but with 758 RSVP programs and nearly 500,000
volunteers…we are the largest program within the Corporation for
National and Community Service.
As we get ready
to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are working to move
RSVP in new directions. With the help of our Washington
Representative we’ve presented Congress with the option of funding a
new Falls Prevention Program. We have a contract with CNCS to
implement and support a national peer mentoring program for new
project directors. And we’ve demonstrated that RSVP is the most
comprehensive network of volunteer programming in terms of
recruiting and placing the boomer cohort.

Directors (NARSVPD) for fiscal year 2008-09.
You must be a
member of NARSVPD, Inc. to run for office or serve on the board,
vote in elections and at the annual meeting, and to receive printed
and electronic newsletters, legislative updates and news from our
Washington Representative. Consider your membership in NARSVPD, Inc.
as an investment in RSVP. Your dues are vital to insure that the
work is being done to protect and enhance your program. Working
together we can accomplish great things for RSVP, now and in the
future.
